Perkenside is the Global leader in supply of reeling hoses approved by Oil Majors, OEMS and operations around the World. Our reeling hoses have been used in reels supplied by various OEM proving the flexibility and advanced technology of this type of hose we offer.

To date we have successfully supplied over 4,000 reeling hoses used in over 100 reels around the Globe. Our reeling hoses have provided a reliable and safe service for our clients providing service lives reaching ten (10) years and exceeding with support from our expert technical team.

Our reeling hoses are available in both single and double carcass type and range of bore sizes and pressure ratings. All our designs meet as a minimum the requirement of GMPHOM 2009 and our internal standard developed through years of experience. Also, we are able to customize our designs to meet the stringent requirement of our clients such as Petrobras.

The intelligent Hose comes to integrate the next decade of supplies which Perkenside may perform worldwide and brings to an end the old generation series, which had been responsible for more than 15.000 units copies sold worldwide.

The new Hose design comes weightless, with many special features made to last!.

The new Hose design comes weightless, with many special features made to last!. All that we had been designing up to now, was made to last!. The new era of less maintenance:. less pull outs, less pull ins, less outer fixings, less testing´s, less carbon generation and the greatest dynamic test output results, which has proven the Hose taken up to it limits.

We are not ashamed to say this is a “REAL DOUBLE CARCASS HOSE” – where it weighs like one, behaves like one, bursts like one and it´s been fully Triple Layered Reeled with BUILT IN end FITTINGS!!

Opcionalmente, se pueden utilizar pernos prisioneros de acero inoxidable (sin embargo, el rendimiento es menor que el del acero al carbono).

Se utilizan pernos prisioneros para conectar las bridas de las mangueras, que normalmente están hechas de acero al carbono recubierto con PTFE.

Las juntas más utilizadas son CNAF (fibra comprimida sin amianto) o juntas en espiral con relleno de PTFE.

La prueba hidrostática de campo consiste en llenar la sarta de mangueras con agua, purgar el aire restante y luego elevar la presión interna a la presión nominal de trabajo (RWP) de las mangueras, o la presión de funcionamiento normal más un 50 %, lo que sea mayor.

La vida útil de una manguera depende de varios factores, sin embargo, según la experiencia de Perkenside, las mangueras más demandadas, como First off Buoy y Tanker Rail, suelen tener una vida útil de aproximadamente 3 años, mientras que una manguera Mainline, puede alcanzar aproximadamente 5 años. .

Las mangueras utilizadas son probadas según OCIMF “Guidelines for the Handling, Storage, Inspection and Testing of Hoses in the Field”, Segunda Edición – 1995, y consisten básicamente en:

• Inspección visual

• Examen Hidrostatico

• Prueba de continuidad eléctrica

• Prueba de vacío

La reparación del cuerpo de una manguera offshore se realizará cuando sólo se haya producido un daño superficial, es decir, un daño que no afecte a la carcasa primaria ni a la secundaria.

El tiempo medio de fabricación de una manguera, con todas sus pruebas, es de aproximadamente 10 días.

Las mangueras deben colocarse rectas sobre soportes sólidos, en condiciones de almacenamiento frescas, secas y oscuras.
